CAHS has implemented a new tool to help low-income families become more self-sufficient: ©EarnBenefits Online (EBO). EBO is web-based application developed by Seedco that helps case managers and intake workers screen clients for 10 benefits simultaneously, allowing them to have quick access to more services. Seedco is a national nonprofit organization that advances economic opportunity for people, businesses, and communities in need.
CAHS is working with 10 community partners in six Connecticut cities with 10 community partners to enroll thousands of residents in work support programs annually. CAHS will address the urgent need to serve low-wage workers and their families across the state who are eligible for work supports but are not currently receiving them.
EBO users can screen up to 12 benefits simultaneously, including SNAP, HUSKY, TANF, EITC, WIC and Medicaid. The software allows providers to give up-to-date, precise information to clients, accessing benefits conveniently and giving them a better chance to get ahead and achieve economic financial success.
