COMMUNITY MEETING WITH SENATOR JOHN EDWARDS

On July 13, 2008 Senator John Edwards brought his Half in Ten: From Poverty to Prosperity Campaign to Connecticut. Meeting at the Hartford Boys & Girls Club, Edwards described his campaign’s work to build and strengthen an effective constituency to demand legislative action on poverty and economic mobility. Edwards joined a panel of community residents, activists, elected officials and an audience of supporters, in a dialogue about local challenges to and strategies to achieve prosperity. A press conference followed.
