- Plan for expansion of the School Readiness Program
- Need to address the need for increased reimbursement rates and address the recognized need for parity in rates amongst providers such as School Readiness, Head Start, and State Funded Centers.

The Child Care Subsidy Program: Care4Kids
- Set child care reimbursement rates at the 75th percentile of the price of care as determined by the Market Rate Survey.
- Update child care subsidy reimbursement rates biennially to reflect the price of care as determined by a current Market Rate Survey.
- Expand eligibility to include higher education as an approved activity for those on Temporary Financial Assistance (TFA) and those transitioning from TFA status.

CAHS participates in organizing providers around a unified Early Care and Education Agenda
Providers’ Caucus are individuals who provide direct child care services to children and families statewide. The group meets regularly to plan public policy strategies to address operational concerns and the well-being of families with young children. The Providers’ Caucus is a voting member of the Early Childhood Alliance.
